// About Dr. Ying Liu
Prior to her clinical training, Dr. Liu earned her M.D. from Tianjin Medical University in China and her Ph.D. in Pathobiology from the University of Southern California, where she conducted NIH-funded research on the molecular biology and genetics of ovarian cancer. She also holds a M.S. degree in Human Anatomy, Histology and Embryology from Peking University.
Over her career, Dr. Liu has made significant research contributions in the areas of gynecologic cancers, publishing in leading journals. She has received numerous honors and awards for her work. In addition to her clinical and research pursuits, Dr. Liu is passionate about education, having taught medical students, residents and fellows at USC, UC Davis and Johns Hopkins. She also dedicates time to volunteering with the American Cancer Society.
With her extensive training, research expertise and clinical skills, Dr. Ying Liu is a rising leader in the field of pathology. Her work is advancing the understanding and diagnosis of cancers in women.
