Julia Johns brings extensive expertise in medical laboratory science to her role as Field Application Laboratory Scientist at Doc Lab®. With a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from Dixie State University and a Certificate in Phlebotomy from the Utah School of Phlebotomy, Julia pairs strong academic foundations with years of hands-on clinical experience.
Julia’s technical skill set spans sample collection, data management, inventory control, and molecular diagnostic techniques. She is highly proficient in RT-PCR processing and experienced with advanced platforms including the Applied Biosystems 7500 Fast and QuantStudio systems — expertise she now brings directly to Doc Lab® clients in the field.
Her deep familiarity with OSHA, CDC, and EPA guidelines, along with her knowledge of HIPAA compliance and CLIA regulations, ensures that every engagement reflects Doc Lab®’s commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory excellence.
Before joining Doc Lab®, Julia served as General Supervisor at SoftCell Laboratories, where she played a pivotal role in advancing operational efficiency and quality standards. Her earlier experience in retail management further sharpened her leadership and organizational abilities, equipping her to navigate the diverse demands of supporting laboratories across a range of settings.
