Thomas Huard, PhD

Thomas K. Huard, PhD, serves as Director of Laboratory Services at Doc Lab Inc, bringing over four decades of distinguished experience in clinical laboratory science, molecular diagnostics, and regulatory compliance. With a PhD and MS in Microbiology/Immunology from the University of Illinois Medical Center, Dr. Huard’s expertise spans molecular pathology, pharmacogenetics, infectious disease, toxicology, immunology, and genomic sequencing.

Dr. Huard previously served as Scientific Director of Molecular Diagnostics at Quest Diagnostics, the largest clinical reference laboratory in the United States, where he oversaw technical operations, new test development, and quality assurance for over a decade. He is a certified Inspection Team Leader for the College of American Pathologists (CAP), holds certifications from the New York State Department of Health across numerous specialties, and brings deep regulatory expertise in CLIA, CAP, COLA, FDA, and AABB frameworks.

With more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, eight book chapters, and over 55 abstracts presented at national meetings, Dr. Huard’s depth of experience across laboratory operations, scientific research, and regulatory leadership ensures that Doc Lab Inc delivers the highest standard of diagnostic accuracy, compliance, and innovation.
