Ian Kobelenz

Ian Kobelenz serves as Director of Chemistry Services at Doc Lab®, bringing a strong analytical and synthetic chemistry background to the development, validation, and oversight of the company's testing methodologies. He holds a BA in Chemistry from Wheaton College, where he graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors, conducted inorganic chemistry research, and completed an NSF-funded research internship at the University of Iowa.

Professionally, Ian has worked as an Analytical Lab Supervisor at TTM Technologies and as a Scientist and Safety Officer at Pace Life Sciences, performing analytical chemistry in pharmaceutical manufacturing under cGMP, FDA, DEA, and GLP regulation. That range of bench technique, data analysis, lab management, process control, and safety now anchors his work at Doc Lab, where he directs chemistry testing operations, leads assay development and validation, and oversees quality control and regulatory compliance across the chemistry department. Ian is an exacting scientist who holds fast to the science behind every result: for him, accuracy and scientific integrity are non-negotiable, because patients and their health are always what's at stake.
