Richard Wedig is a highly accomplished senior healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience at the C-suite level. As an administrator of acute care hospitals, hospital surgery departments, ambulatory surgical centers, and medical practices throughout the United States, he brings extensive expertise to his role at Doc Lab Inc.
Throughout his career, Richard has been responsible for day-to-day operations, including financial planning, budgeting, revenue cycle evaluation, contract negotiations, physician recruitment, and business development for multi-specialty clinics and surgical departments. He is known for his balance of interpersonal team-building skills and analytical insight in the decision-making process.
Richard has served as project manager for the design and construction of four medical office complexes, three surgical centers, an acute care hospital OR, and the remodel of an acute care hospital. He has set up over 50 physician practices and has a solid educational background with a BSBA in Business Administration from City University in Seattle, WA.
Notable highlights of Richard’s career include serving as President/CEO of ProMed Management, Inc., where he specialized in project management for planning, design, and development for corporate and medical facilities. He has also held leadership roles at Wickenburg Community Hospital, Great Plains Ambulatory Surgery Center, Washington Sports Medicine Associates, Inc., Highline Community Hospital, Family Care Centers, and Advanced Health Systems.
Richard is well-versed in public speaking and has authored books and articles on healthcare and physicians’ practices. He has served on the boards of several organizations and foundations and has worked as a consultant and advisor in various capacities.
